Joyce attended the Brunswick Relay for Life Reverse Raffle and Breakfast on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Brunswick Eagles Hall. The Brunswick Eagles use their hall and members to help raise money for charity.

Joyce and her husband Medina County Common Pleas Court Judge James L. Kimbler attended the Brunswick Optimist Club Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, February 22, 2014. The Optimist Club sponsors activities for kids. The Brunswick Club is very active.

Joyce Judging Regional Mock Trial Competition

Joyce spent Friday, February 21, 2014, acting as a Mock Trial Judge for the Regional Round of the Ohio Mock Trial Competition. Joyce and her husband Judge James Kimbler met at a mock trial competition in Akron back in February of 1996 so both of them make a point of being involved in Ohio's Mock Trial Competitions for high school students. For several years they were advisers to the Springfield High School Mock Trial Team. Joyce attended Springfield Township High School in Summit County when she was growing up.
