Joyce at Jazz Under the Stars
The Ohio Regional Music, Arts, and Cultural Outreach, (ORMACO), held a jazz concert on Saturday evening. Joyce and her daughter, Brianna Laybourn, attended the event and met many fellow jazz enthusiasts. Below is a brief description taken from the ORMACO website.
"ORMACO continues its 4th season with Jazz under the Stars with Bobby Selvaggio, one of the leading alto saxophone voices on today’s jazz scene. In the words of pianist Kenny Werner, “Bobby is among the best of players out there,” and legendary saxophonist Joe Lovano praises Bobby by calling him “one of the few young saxophonists on the scene today that captures you with his strong presence, focus, and sound.” This concert features new Original Jazz music composed Bobby for a project coming up with Aaron Goldberg, NY pianist. The music will be released on my next upcoming CD, release date TBA. Joining Bobby will be Ashley Summers on bass, Chris Baker on drums, and Theron Brown on piano."
